iMap Invasive App Training

Join us at the Bioreserve to have a hands-on training for PRISM’s iMap Invasive app. After an overview of the app we will take a walk through the Bioreserve and put the app into action! If there is time left after a tour will be given on the Bioreserve features.

5th Annual Letchworth Stewardship Day

Please join the Friends of Letchworth State Park and Western New York Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (WNY PRISM) for the 5th annual Stewardship Day. The event will take place on Saturday, June 11,2022, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Letchworth State Park Humphrey Nature Center. Learn about common invasive species that impact gardens, agriculture and natural areas during our indoor presentation. Then, follow us outside to see some of these invasive species along the trails. We will finish the event by getting our hands dirty and digging up a priority invasive species found in the park. Wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy close toe shoes for the field portion.

Be Aware of Ithaca’s Invasives

The Town of Ithaca’s Conservation Board invites you to another annual New York’s Invasive Species Awareness Week event at East Shore Park. With the Community Science Institute, and the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network, we’ll explain the difference between weeds and invasives, and why it’s important for everyone to help stop the spread of invasive species in our environment.

During the 2022 New York Invasive Species Awareness Week, we are launching the first ever NYISAW Mapping Challenge! We challenge you to get out and map this week’s statewide priority species, spotted lanternfly, and the priority species for your PRISM (Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management). The top reporters to iMapInvasives during NYISAW will win a prize!

Join our 7pm webinar to learn more about the challenge, how your records feed into statewide efforts, and how to identify spotted lanternfly, and the species selected by your PRISM! Presenters will include invasive species experts from the PRISMs.
