Watershed Wednesday: Uninvited: The Spread of Invasive Species

Join the Adirondack Watershed Institute (AWI) and Hotel Saranac for a showing of “Uninvited: The Spread of Invasive Species” during New York State’s Invasive Species Awareness Week. This film is an hour-long documentary produced by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation with funding provided by the Environmental Protection Fund. Following the film AWI staff and partners will be available for questions and a brief discussion. The bar will be open for food and beverage purchases throughout.

Uninvited Documentary Screening at QWR

Did you know that invasive species are the biggest threat to NY’s biodiversity, outdoor recreation, and agriculture? June 6 to June 12 is New York Invasive Species Awareness Week (NYISAW). Celebrate with LIISMA (Long Island Invasive Species Management Area) & QWR for a viewing of the NYS DEC’s Uninvited: The Spread of Invasive Species documentary in the Nature Center of QWR (3 Old Country Road, Quogue). Refreshments will be provided. $5 per person.
