Join Champlain Area Trails for an Invasive Species Educational Walk and Work Day on Friday, June 12, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Participants will discover fundamental techniques for identifying plants, understand what defines an invasive species, and learn how to report them as they explore the trail. Along the way, we’ll point out various invasive plants and how to manage them. This event is happening during New York’s Invasive Species Awareness Week, which takes place from June 8 to 14.

After the guided walk, attendees can join Champlain Area Trails staff for trail maintenance and invasive species removal to open a trail viewpoint. Expect to walk up to 2 miles during the event with minimal elevation gain. Feel free to join for just the walk, or the trail maintenance, or both!
