Northeast Aquatic Nuisance Species Panel issues RFP for scientific literature search on Hydrilla

The Northeast Aquatic Nuisance Species (NEANS) Panel has issued a Request For Proposals for a scientific literature search relating to the monoecious form of the invasive aquatic plant Hydrilla. 

 

This RFP is posted on the NEANS Panel website at: at http://www.northeastans.org/news.html 

 

Proposals must be submitted by e-mail and arrive by July 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM EDT.  Submissions must be in Microsoft Word with identical PDF.  Proposers may inquire about this RFP until close of business on July 6, 2012; all inquiries must be by e-mail to Ann Bove (NEANS Panel Co-chair and Hydrilla work group member) at the e-mail address below.  Answers will be provided directly and as soon as feasible to the individual making the inquiry and all questions and answers will be posted to the NEANS Panel website http://www.northeastans.org/news by close of business July 9, 2012.  Revisions or corrections made to this RFP will be sent electronically to potential Proposers who have requested this RFP, re-posted on the NEANS Panel website, and sent to the NEANS Panel members for distribution.

PRISM RFPs released: NYS DEC is seeking coordinators for Capital Mohawk, Lower Hudson, Finger Lakes, and Western PRISMs

DEC's Office of Invasive Species Coordination (OISC) is requesting proposals for four separate five-year contracts to administer the Capital Mohawk, Lower Hudson, Finger Lakes and Western New York Partnerships for Regional Invasive Species Management (PRISMs): http://www.dec.ny.gov/animals/82623.html

It is anticipated that each PRISM will have a paid coordinator under state contract. PRISM functions are further described in II: Scope of Work and XI: Proposal Narrative of these Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The Contractor will be required to deliver all items listed in IV: Deliverables and Schedule in accordance with the specified timeframes. The Proposer must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience coordinating partners (at least three distinct entities including federal, state or local government and/or non-government organizations) engaged in cooperative delivery of landscape-level conservation activities of similar size, scope and complexity.

Written questions on proposals will be accepted through June 29, 2012 (11:00 AM EDT). Answers to questions will be provided to prospective proposers by July 10, 2012 (close of business). Proposal due date is August 3, 2012 (11:00 AM EDT).
